On Thursday, August 29th, IU Men’s Soccer recognized IUDM at their “For the Kicks” game.
Before the game, IUDM members and Riley families hung out with familiar faces and new friends at the tailgate while enjoying pizza and getting vintage IUDM merch. The atmosphere of the game made it an all-around fun evening!
As pre-game ceremonies started, Riley buddies were honored on the field, welcomed by smiling faces and cheers.
IUDM is thankful for the opportunity to showcase what we are all about. Director of Recruitment, Gabriella Schuetz, says, “For the Kicks is such an awesome collaboration between all the committees in IUDM and my favorite IU sports team. This event embodies this organization’s welcoming and fun spirit that draws new members in and makes us a community!”
“It was super fun to not only see returning members of IUDM, but to also meet so many potential new members and enjoy a good game,” says Emma Cannon, Director of Special Events. As fall athletics ramp up at IU, IUDM is also welcoming new members to participate in the First Year Dancer Experience (FYDE).
IUDM was ecstatic to be a part of the largest attended soccer game since 2018 with 4,573 people in attendance. It was so awesome to bring awareness to our organization in the environment of IU sports, especially at a historic game.
