Indiana University Dance Marathon started as a small fundraiser to honor the memory of a lost friend and has grown to become the second largest student-run philanthropic organization in the nation. This success relies upon the generous support of our students, alumni, Indiana University, the Bloomington community, and corporate sponsors. Most importantly, the marathon would not be possible without the incredible support of the Riley families themselves.
Over 900 students work year round fundraising and raising awareness for Riley Hospital for Children. The students’ hard work culminates in a 36-hour dance marathon each fall. The event includes dancing, performances, and numerous Riley family stories. Nearly 2,000 participants choose to remain awake and stay on their feet for the entire 36 hours in a show of support for these children at Riley.
We dance for those who can’t and hope that you too can join us in bringing smiles to the faces of countless children. Thank you in advance for any contributions, it really does make a difference.
