Indiana University Dance Marathon invites any and all student organizations to attend our 2012 Dance Marathon. Join 2000 dancers that attend the marathon by representing your student organizations. The participation of organizations requires members to attend the marathon as well as raise funds for Riley Hospital for Children. The Dance Marathon provides organizations the opportunity to support sick children as well as help create a huge IU family.
Organizations register to attend the marathon as a team. Each team member is required to raise $500 in order to participate. Participation involves attending the marathon for one shift (18 hours). The shifts are filled with activities such as learning the line dance, team-building activities, listening to inspirational Riley stories, and even meeting and playing with the Riley children.
Ryan’s Rookies
Ryan’s Rookies is a program for first time organizations participating in IUDM. Ryan’s Rookies allows for first time organizations to become acclimated to co-sponsoring with IUDM. IUDM understands that it may be difficult for organization members to raise $500 individually; Ryan’s Rookies is flexible with first time dancers. Every member will register but totals and time will be discussed.
Participation of organizations gives IUDM the backbone and support it needs to thrive and continue to exist FTK. Our vision is for Dance Marathon to become the unifying IU event on campus but IUDM needs your help!
